Snow is guaranteed
Snow? Sure!
Whether powder snow or crunchy firn during sunshine skiing – the pistes in Obergurgl-Hochgurgl offer pure fun on over 110 piste kilometres. Modern snow-making machines also ensure. Since the winter season of 1999/2000, 99% of all pistes can be covered with artificial snow. This means that the resort lives up to its reputation “alpine winter sports resort with the greatest abundance of snow”, also technically.
The entire snowmaking system is computerised. If both the temperature and the humidity are ideal, the snow-making facilities start automatically. Five weather stations in the resort provide detailed information for this.
